Flex Empathy Contest Rules

  1. Eligibility: The Flex Empathy contest (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of the United States of America who sign up at www.flexempathy.com. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older as of their date of entry. This contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law. 

  2. Sponsorship: The event is run by Synanim, LLC (the “Sponsor”), located in Santa Fe, NM. The Sponsor will conduct the Contest substantially as described in these Flex Empathy Contest Rules. 

  3. Agreement to Rules: By entering this Contest, the Entrant (“You”) agree to abide by these rules, which are fully and unconditionally binding in all respects. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant at any time at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. By entering this Contest You represent and warrant that You are eligible to participate based on eligibility requirements explained in these rules. You also agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Contest.  

  4. Flex Empathy Jan. 10 Contest Entry Period: Registration begins on Dec. 17, 2025 at 10am Eastern and ends on Jan. 7, 2026 at 10am Eastern (“Entry Period”). 

  5. How to Enter: Eligible entrants enter the contest by submitting the online registration form at https://www.flexempathy.com. As a participant, You must abide by these rules in order to be eligible to win a prize. 

  6. Prizes: The winners of the Contest are those selected to move forward into the final two rounds. The table below shows the number of winners and how their prizes are computed. The total prize amount for each level is determined by the number of paid registrants. Winners are solely responsible for all local, state, and federal taxes.

    NOTE: Winners of more than $600 must provide their social security number prior to receipt of their prize so that we may issue a 1099 for tax purposes. Do not email your social security number. We will describe how to securely exchange this information in your email notification.
     

  7. Odds: The total number of registrants determines the odds of winning. 

  8. Selection and Notification of Winner: Winners are selected by the Synanim process. In each Synanim session, participant(s) with the most points in their group are selected to move into the next session. Points are earned in two ways: Entry Points are earned by participants when group members select their entries; Vote Points are earned by participants when group members select the same entry as the participant. 

The Sponsor will notify winners via email. For security purposes, prize transfer details will be shared via phone. The Sponsor is not responsible for winners’ failure to receive notices due to email security settings that may cause notifications to be marked as spam or junk email. Nor shall the Sponsor be liable for the winners’ provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the Winner fails to respond to the email within 10 days from the time notification is sent or is found ineligible, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner may be selected. Receipt of the prize is upon the condition of compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. IF WINNERS VIOLATE ANY OF THESE CONTEST RULES, THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNERS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED. 

  9. Rights Granted by You: By submitting entries in the Contest, you grant the Sponsor all rights, without limitation, to your submissions. Your entries must be original work and must not violate anyone’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. Submission of entries that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others is grounds for disqualification. Any claims that arise as a result of infringement must be settled by You at your sole expense, and You shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Sponsor.  

  10.  Terms & Conditions: In its sole discretion, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Flex Empathy Contest should non-authorized human intervention, a bug or virus, fraud, or other causes beyond the Sponsor’s control, impact or corrupt the security, fairness, proper conduct, or administration of the Flex Empathy Contest. Individuals who tamper with or attempt to tamper with the operation or entry process of the Contest or website or violates these Terms & Conditions will be disqualified by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. In its sole discretion, the Sponsor has the right to maintain the integrity of the Contest, to entries for any reason, including, but not limited to the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Attempts by any entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. If any such attempt is made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. 

  11. Limitation of Liability: Your entry into the Contest constitutes your agreement to release and hold harmless the Sponsor against and from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, litigation, loss, or damages that may occur, directly or indirectly from your participation in the Contest and/or any type of technical failure, unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, phone, or Internet service, unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process, electronic error in the processing of entries. 

  12. Disputes: You agree, as a condition of participating in this promotion, that if any disputes cannot be resolved between You and the Sponsor, and if causes of action arise out of or are connected with the Contest, they shall be individually resolved exclusively before a court located in New Mexico having jurisdiction, without resorting to any form of class action. Under no circumstances in any such dispute shall the participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than the Contest registration fee. You waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
